Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. seeks a Master Teacher I to support staff development and deliver high-quality care for children ages 0-5 within the ECD programs.

The role covers site-based and floating teaching duties, ensuring compliance with Head Start and state licensing, and assisting with assessment data and curriculum implementation. The position emphasizes supervision, health and safety, and collaboration with a center and home-based interdisciplinary team to enhance learning and family

Qualifications

• Associate or higher in a related field with emphasis on child development or ECE.
• Experience teaching preschool-aged children is preferred.
• Ability to use computer software and web-based systems; basic keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate nurturing teacher-child interactions and plan engaging learning experiences.
• Implement curriculum and assess children’s progress across learning standards.
• Record daily observations and learning plans when covering multiple classrooms.
• Use data to inform learning experiences and support health, safety, and well-being.
• Maintain records during substitute duties and ensure compliance with Head Start standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to link education, health, and social services.
