Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. seeks a Master Teacher I to support staff development and deliver high‑quality care and education for children aged 0‑5 in the CPLC ECD Programs.

The role includes floating to cover staff shortages, assisting with assessment data, lesson planning and curriculum implementation. The Master Teacher works with an interdisciplinary team to provide education, health and social services as needed according to Head Start and state standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree (required) or a bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Experience with preschool and/or infant/toddler age groups is highly preferred.
• Ability to use computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe) and web-based systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide center-based or home-based education support as a floating Master Teacher I to cover staff shortages.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula and assess child progress.
• Maintain records of observations, learning plans, and individual goals; use data to inform learning experiences.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance with Head Start and state licensing regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support education, health and social services for children and families.
