Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is seeking a Floater Teacher to support staff development and deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate care for children ages 0-5 in the ECD Programs.

This site-based role works across classrooms within center-based and home-based teams to provide education, health and social services, while following Head Start standards and safety guidelines to maintain an optimal learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education required.
• Baccalaureate and coursework related to ECE required.

Responsibilities

• Support staff development and delivery of high-quality, developmentally appropriate care for children aged 0-5 in the ECD Programs.
• Work as a site-based Floater across assigned classrooms as a teacher within center-based and home-based teams.

CPLC's Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs are committed to giving every child, regardless of circumstances at birth, an opportunity to succeed in school and life. Provides full-day, full-year early childhood development services to low income children, ages 0-3 years, and their families in educationally-stimulating learning environments. Migrant Head Start program provides full-day, full-year program services to children, ages 0-5 years, of migrant and seasonal farm and agriculture working families where hand-picked and row crops are prevalent. Position Summary

The Floater Teacher is responsible to support staff development and service delivery of high quality developmentally appropriate care and education for children age 0-5 in the CPLC ECD Programs. To work as a site based Floater with assigned classrooms in the role of a teacher. Works as part of a center based and home based inter-disciplinary team to provide education, health and social service support to children and families as needed and requested. Follow all state and federal regulations that apply to the care and education of young children, revised Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), Head Start Act, Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Child Care Licensing, Office of Head Start Initiatives, and CPLC ECD Content Area Plans and Procedures. Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments. Maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment. Facilitate health practices to keep children safe in the school bus, outdoor and indoor environments.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

• Baccalaureate in Early Childhood Education
• Baccalaureate and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience teaching preschool and/or infant/toddler age children is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
