TIC - The Industrial Company in Louisiana is seeking an experienced structural steel erector to oversee layout, installation and assembly of steel components according to blueprints and codes.

The role requires ability to read specifications, operate hoisting equipment safely, and maintain alignment of steel members on busy construction sites, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to pass safety and drug testing.
• Experience on construction sites required.

Responsabilidades

• Reads specifications or blueprints to determine locations, quantities, or sizes of material required.
• Fabricates metal parts according to blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Unloads and positions prefabricated steel units for hoisting and guides lifting operations.
• Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, laser equipment, or levels.
• Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces using torches or welding equipment.
• Positions structural steel members for final set using turnbuckles, crowbars, or jacks.
• Bolts aligned structural-steel members for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding.
• Assembles hoisting equipment or riggings to move heavy equipment or materials.
• Estimates sizes, distances, and quantities for work activities.
• Inspects subordinate's work for contract compliance and corrective actions.
