Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Specifications Writer to define how our EV clients' physical infrastructure is built, maintained, and scaled globally. The Design Studio translates spatial concepts into high-performance material standards and you will collaborate with Design, Governance, BIM, and Engineering to research material performance and craft buildable, legally sound specifications.

Qualifications

5–8+ years in technical specifications writing or related field.
Ability to draft and edit both architectural and engineering specifications.
Knowledge of CSI MasterFormat, UniFormat, SectionFormat structures.

Responsibilities

Draft & evolve Master Specifications (Divisions 01–48) to support design standards and R&D needs.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineers.
Identify gaps, research and develop new specification sections from scratch.
Lead due diligence on products, finishes and equipment against codes and standards.
Establish quality control guidelines and review tools for Architect of Record submittals.
Maintain the studio's MasterSpec/SpecLink databases and templates.
