Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Specifications Writer to define how our EV clients' facilities are built, maintained and scaled globally. The role partners with Design, Governance, BIM and Engineering to craft buildable, legally sound technical specs.

You will draft master specs, align with MEP/Struct, and research materials against codes and sustainability targets while maintaining Spec databases and ensuring field lessons inform updates.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years drafting specs for architectural and engineering projects.
• Experience with CSI MasterFormat, UniFormat and SectionFormat in facility rollouts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar.

Responsibilities

• Draft and evolve Master Specifications (Divisions 01–48) to support design standards and R&D.
• Partner with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineers for cohesive specs.
• Research and vet products, finishes, and equipment against durability, cost, sustainability and codes.
• Maintain and audit MasterSpec/SpecLink databases and standardized checklists.
