Qualifications

Join Our Team as a Master Production Scheduler at Epiroc!

The Master Production Scheduler is highly organized and has a deep understanding of the processes that drive the supply chain. They are responsible for ensuring that all timelines across the supply chain (i.e., all departments) and the processes involved in manufacturing are followed efficiently. The Master Scheduler ensures that production planning processes and timelines are managed and facilitated on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. They will work closely with the scheduling team to effectively meet production goals.

Work Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Ooltewah, TN facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.

Shift Timings: 1st shift Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule production for assigned departments or value streams.
  • Ensure timely distribution of schedules, covering discrepancies such as call-outs.
  • Collaborate with production schedulers to resolve issues and expedite operations to meet customer needs.
  • Handle strategic objectives, including planning, APS system development, and coordination with procurement and suppliers to meet supply needs.
  • Lead supply planning for the S&OP process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting systems.
  • Coordinate demand management with inside sales.
  • Communicate with customers regarding significant product demand variations.
  • Share demand information across the facility to align on volume and metrics.
  • Address customer shipment and delivery gaps and manage customer expectations.
  • Work with plant leadership to ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Document key data for analysis, including downtime, production peaks, inventory, and scheduling accuracy.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • APICS CPIM certification is required or must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related roles within a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Must be action-oriented with proven success in a fast-paced environment.
