First String Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in Greenwich, CT is hiring a P1 Master Plumber - Division Lead. This founding leadership role starts in the field, then moves into management as the division scales.

You’ll own pricing, SOPs, and KPI reporting with ServiceTitan while building a residential service team with autonomy and equity upside. You must hold a CT P-1 license (or be working toward it) and have 5+ years in residential service, with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• CT P-1 Master Plumber license (or pursuing P-1 while working toward it).
• 5+ years of residential service experience.
• Experience leading or building a residential service department.
• Proficiency with ServiceTitan or comparable FSM software.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in attics/crawlspaces.

Responsibilities

• Run service, maintenance, and installation calls while setting the operational standard.
• Recruit, hire, and coach a high-performing team of residential service plumbers.
• Build pricing structure, SOPs, and KPI reporting using ServiceTitan.
• Conduct ride-alongs, quality checks, and reduce callbacks.
• Coordinate scheduling with office staff and own the customer experience.
• Represent the brand in executive strategy discussions in the field.

P1 Master Plumber - Division Lead

First String Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is hiring a P1 Master Plumber - Division Lead in Greenwich, CT, with a base salary of $155,000 to $179,000, plus an uncapped quarterly bonus tied to net profit margins, profit sharing, and a vesting equity schedule. This is a founding leadership role where you start in the field setting standards, then move into full managerial leadership once the division reaches five service technicians. You won't just build this division — you'll own a piece of its upside.

Who You Are

• You hold a CT P-1 Master Plumber license (or hold a P-2 and are actively working toward your P-1)

• You have experience running or helping lead a residential service department — install, maintenance, and service — not just working in one

• You know ServiceTitan or comparable field service management (FSM) software and how to use it to run a tight operation

• You are a builder who would rather create something from scratch than inherit someone else's machine

• You take pride in running a tight operation where margins, quality, and culture all hold together

• You lead without ego, and the techs who have worked for you would line up to work for you again

• You believe accountability is a gift you give your team, not a stick you swing at them

• You love the moment when a system you designed starts running without you in the room

• You bring 5+ years of residential service experience and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

What You Will Do Each Day

• Run service, maintenance, and installation calls while setting the operational standard

• Recruit, hire, and coach a high-performing team of residential service plumbers

• Build pricing structure, SOPs, and weekly KPI reporting from the ground up — leveraging ServiceTitan to do it

• Conduct ride-alongs, quality checks, and callback reduction work

• Coordinate scheduling with office staff and own the customer experience

• Sit in on executive strategy discussions and represent the brand in the field

• Handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in attics or crawlspaces
