Avis Budget Group is seeking a Master Mechanic in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of modern vehicles across multiple brands, ensuring safety and reliability for customers. Serve as a technical resource for teammates and support shop performance with best practices.

Requirements include 3+ years of repair experience, ASE certifications (min. 3) with the ability to gain 2 more in the first year, and a complete toolset.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with ability to acquire 2 more within the first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas: Engine Repair, Drivetrain, Suspension, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, Engine Performance.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Comfortable in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise.
• Basic computer skills; data entry.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/bend/reach frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs and warranty work.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhausts, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and onboard systems.
• Work on a diverse fleet across multiple brands; mentor others as a Master Mechanic.
• Contribute to shop performance by sharing best practices and guidance.
