Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Honolulu, Hawaii, is hiring a Master Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles across a diverse fleet, including newer models and multiple brands. You will perform complex repairs, including engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, and onboard computers, with guidance to junior technicians.

Requirements include at least 3 years in auto repair, current ASE certifications (3+), ability to obtain 2 more in the first year, a valid driver’s license, and on-site work.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional auto repair experience.
  • Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
  • Strong knowledge across ASE certification areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance (Light Vehicle/Diesel).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on-site in a mechanical shop.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard and complex automotive repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and onboard computers.
  • Serve as a technical resource for other technicians to support shop performance.
  • Ensure vehicles are safe and reliable and ready for customers.
