Avis Budget Group is hiring a Master Mechanic in Hilo, HI. The role requires at least 3 years of professional auto repair experience and current ASE certifications, with the ability to obtain two more within the first year.

You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, serving as a technical resource for other technicians and ensuring vehicle safety and reliability. You will work on newer vehicles across multiple brands, supporting a great customer experience and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with the ability to acquire 2 additional within the first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, and Engine Performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of makes and models.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning and onboard computers.
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and share best practices to improve shop performance.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, reliable and ready for customers.
