Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking a Master Mechanic in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. You will perform standard and complex auto repairs, including warranty work, across many makes and models with minimal supervision.

You’ll diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and onboard computers, and mentor others as a technical resource. On-site role with strong customer impact and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with ability to acquire 2 additional within the first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas including engine repair, drivetrains, brakes, electrical, HVAC and engine performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of vehicle makes and models with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical systems, A/C and onboard computers.
• Work on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles and apply skills across multiple brands and technologies.
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and share best practices to support shop performance.
• Ensure vehicle reliability, safety and availability to enhance the customer experience.
