Job summary

Stop & Shop in Assonet, MA is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs and maintenance on battery powered pallet jacks, forklifts, and narrow aisle lifts, and to maintain and repair building interiors and equipment.

The role includes learning basic operations of facility systems such as sprinklers, fire alarms, building automation and ammonia refrigeration, and carrying out carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and metal fabrication tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and performs maintenance tasks on battery powered pallet jacks, forklifts and narrow aisle high lifts.
• Repair building hardware and interiors.
• Install and repair rack systems.
• Will be required to learn basic and safe operations of facility systems i.e. sprinkler system, fire alarms, building automation and ammonia refrigeration system.
• Will be assigned tasks, which will require the ability to identify and solve problems with building systems and equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• Will be required to perform a wide range of activities ranging from but not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and metal fabrication work.
