Job summary

KOHLS in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, inspect and repair facilities, equipment and machinery across the distribution center. You will perform daily and scheduled maintenance on conveyors, compressors, bailers and power handling systems to prevent downtime.

The role requires basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC knowledge, adherence to MSDS and lock-out/tag procedures, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while bringing your own tool set.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment.
• Must provide own basic set of tools.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate power equipment safely.
• Adheres to MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair conveyor systems and equipment daily.
• Perform preventative maintenance on air compressors, generators, bailers and power handling equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment.
• Manage parts administration.
• Assist outside contractors and respond to jams or malfunctions.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs and HVAC routine maintenance.
• Maintain facility lighting and assist with recycling handling.

Shifts:
Monday-Thursday 2pm-12am

Monday-Thursday 10pm-8am

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will promote workplace efficiency and profitability by maintaining, inspecting and repairing facilities, equipment and machinery.

What You’ll Do

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, generators, compactors, bailers, conveyors and power and material handling equipment
• Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment
• Parts administration

• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility
• Sort, stack and load pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel and light bulbs for recycling

• Assist outside contractors in performing various duties
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
