Job summary

Stop & Shop is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to repair and service battery-powered pallet jacks, forklifts and narrow-aisle lifts. You will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and metal fabrication tasks across the store facilities and equipment.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, the ability to learn and operate facility systems safely, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with maintenance tasks on battery powered pallet jacks, forklifts and narrow-aisle high lifts.
• Ability to learn basic and safe operations of facility systems (sprinkler system, fire alarms, building automation, ammonia refrigeration).
• Will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and metal fabrication work.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform maintenance on battery powered pallet jacks, forklifts and narrow-aisle high lifts.
• Repair building hardware and interiors. Install and repair rack systems.
• Identify and solve problems with building systems and equipment safely and timely.
