Collaborative Support Programs of NJ seeks a Master Level Supervisor to oversee Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORT) across multiple counties in New Jersey. The position requires a Master’s degree in a mental health field and supervisory experience; strong writing, assessment, and crisis-management skills are essential.

  • Must have a Master’s degree in a mental health related discipline.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage crises.
  • Exceptional writing and assessment skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to make and maintain contacts and positive relationships with individuals who receive or have received mental health and/or substance abuse services.
  • Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Must have a valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
  • Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee MCORT in Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex and Union counties with supervision of Peer Support Specialists and Bachelor’s Level Crisis Counselors.
  • Review progress notes, crisis response decisions, and provide technical assistance; support staff development.
  • Manage and supervise direct care staff, including supervision, scheduling, and addressing performance issues.
  • Review care plans to ensure appropriate level of care and clinical support.
  • Evaluate staff productivity, documentation, and billing quality.
  • Be available for on-call clinical consultation or in-person case reviews to determine interventions or higher levels of care.
  • Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance for day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with community referral sources and stabilization networks for case management and aftercare.

Description

The Master Level Supervisor will oversee the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORT) in Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex and Union counties. The team will consist of Peer Support Specialists & Bachelor's Level Crisis Counselors. This position involves progress note review, crisis response decision making, technical assistance provision, and continuous staff development.

MCORT provides 24/7 mobile community outreach services to adults in crisis, including mental health, substance use, and suicidal emergencies. Calls are dispatched through the 988 Suicide Crisis Lifeline Call Center. Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams will be available to help individuals de-escalate their crisis and access needed resources.

Highlights
  • Manage and supervise direct care staff, including regular supervision, managing schedules, and addressing any performance issues.
  • Review individual care plans developed by the staff to ensure that the appropriate level of care is being utilized and that the treatment plan is clinically supported.
  • Evaluate staff productivity, documentation of service delivery and billing.
  • Be available for on-call clinical consultation or in-person case reviews with to determine the most appropriate intervention or if a higher level of care is necessary.
  • Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance as needed and clinical oversight for day-to-day operations.
  • Work with community referral sources and stabilization provider networks regarding case management and linkages to stabilization and aftercare services.
Full Time | 40 hours per week | Benefit Eligible (Medical, free DMO dental & free vision) including PTO & 11 Holidays
Hourly Rate: $33.65

Monday-Thursday: 5:00am - 3:30pm
