Job summary

AOC Outreach Services in Texas is seeking a Mental Health Associate to provide professional counseling under supervision of an LPC Supervisor, within the scope of provisional licensure and Texas law.

You will support clients in achieving behavioral health goals using ethical, culturally responsive, evidence-based practices, while maintaining timely clinical documentation and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Texas LPC-Associate, LMSW, or LMFT license in good standing.
• Active supervision relationship with a Texas Board-approved Supervisor.
• Knowledge of counseling principles, behavioral health practices, and ethical standards.
• Ability to provide counseling within training, competence, and licensure.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling within the scope of the LPC-Associate license and supervision plan.
• Complete clinical assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and other required documentation timely.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships and promote a safe, respectful environment.
• Implement appropriate counseling interventions based on client needs and evidence-based practices.
• Monitor client progress and communicate changes to the supervising LPC and treatment team.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and apply supervisory feedback.
• Maintain compliance with Texas laws, licensing board requirements, payer requirements, and policies.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Complete all clinical, administrative, and compliance documentation on schedule.
• Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Coordinate with other service providers and community resources as appropriate.
• Identify and respond to client safety concerns following required procedures.
• Maintain licensure, supervision documentation, and other credentials.
• Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.
