Job summary

Saks Fifth Avenue is seeking a Master Fit/Tailor II in New York to produce high quality alterations within time frames while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work with the Alteration Manager and store team to maintain relationships and ensure precise results across luxury garments.

The role requires strong tailoring experience, knowledge of specialty skills, and the ability to handle complex alterations on diverse fabrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years tailoring experience in high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Knowledge of specialty skills such as leather, beading, fine tailoring, buttonholes, etc.
• Ability to perform complex alterations (sleeves, trousers, plaid patterns).
• Pressing and spotting skills.
