Job summary

Douglas County School District seeks an experienced Electrician III to maintain and repair electrical systems inside active school facilities. The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and reliability of campus-wide distribution, lighting, and control systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; specialized trade classes beyond high school.
• Active Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license (DORA).
• DORA apprenticeship hours: minimum 8,000 hours on-the-job, plus 2,000 hours as journeyman.
• 288 hours of formal electrical training in grounding/bonding, NEC code changes, wiring methods, and theory/calculations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in campus-wide systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints; maintain accurate redlines.
