Job summary

Virginia Paving Company seeks a Master Data Clerk to create and maintain accurate customer and vendor master data, validating documentation and supporting internal controls. You will review requests, process credit applications, verify banking details for ACH, and assist audits.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, at least two years in data or accounting support roles, and experience with SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system is preferred but not required.
• At least two years of experience in an office environment performing master data, accounting support, or related administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate customer and vendor master data records.
• Review master data requests for completeness, accuracy, and required approvals.
• Process customer credit applications and maintain supporting documentation.
• Verify vendor banking information by phone before establishing or updating ACH payment details.
• Validate tax documentation, including W-9 forms, to support weekly payment processing.
• Monitor data quality, identify duplicate or incomplete records, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized records and follow company procedures for data security and internal controls.
• Respond to customer and vendor inquiries and track requests through completion.
• Prepare recurring master data reports and assist with audits and special projects as assigned.
