Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a full-time Master Data Processor to join our Supply Chain organization. The role supports creation and maintenance of material master data across inventory systems and collaborates with stakeholders on data requests and improvements.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 1–3+ years in data entry or data evaluation, and experience with SAP or other ERP systems. Findlay, Ohio site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-3+ years of data entry, data evaluation, or related experience; knowledge of material master data preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP or similar ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and process new material requests for warehouse inventory into material master data records in the appropriate inventory management system(s).
• Review, evaluate, and process requests for changes to existing material master data records in the appropriate inventory management system(s).
• Perform steps during the material master data create process to prevent duplicate records and standardize description content and material classification.
• Initiate requests for additional information from customer stakeholders when required to ensure material master data records are accurate, complete and searchable by system users.
• Support activities to improve data quality and consistency through continuous improvement efforts, data cleansing activities, and material master process optimization.
• Provide support to customer stakeholders and business partners as it pertains to material master data and related processes.
• Perform data analysis in support of metrics reporting, duplicate data reviews, and ad-hoc requests from customer stakeholders and Supply Chain business partners.
