Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Mechanic I - Master ASE to maintain diesel and gas buses, trucks and support vehicles in line with FMVSS, FMCSR and DOT standards.

You will inspect engines, transmissions, brakes and emission systems, perform preventive maintenance, and use diagnostic tools including Pro-Link and Snap-On scanners. A CDE inspector credential or ASE Master Bus tech certification enhances candidacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE Master Bus Mechanic certification preferred or required.
• CDE Inspector certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and gas buses and district vehicles.
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, fuel systems and emission controls.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and repair to manufacturer specs.
• Collaborate with district staff and use second language skills if available.
