The Edge Spa, part of Auberge Collection, seeks a Lead Massage Therapist (MT) to perform treatments per the spa protocol and lead by example in service excellence. Utah license and at least one year of MT experience required; ability to work with aromatherapy and maintain high sanitation standards is essential.

Join The Edge Spa team to promote resort facilities, mentor staff, and ensure guest peace and relaxation across shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Utah State Massage Therapy License required.

• Comfort working in an environment with aromatherapy scents.

Responsibilities

• Attend all resort meetings as scheduled.
• Follow-up with Spa Manager/Lead on guest feedback.
• Explain and promote spa facilities and services.
• Maintain schedule accuracy and communicate changes to front desk.
• Escort guests to spa areas and deliver treatments per protocol.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitary.
• Be on time for shifts and clock out promptly.
• Assist other spa departments as needed.
• On-call for at least four shifts per week including one weekend.
• Attend spa associate trainings and meetings.

Description

The Lead Massage Therapist (MT) performs all body treatments according to established protocols ensuring all guests experience pure peace and relaxation. Lead MT is an integral team member in the operation of The Edge Spa. Lead MT supports and promotes the image, service and standards of The Edge Spa, Blue Sky and Auberge Resorts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Attend all resort meetings as scheduled.
• Follow-up with Spa Manager/ Spa and Wellness Coordinator or Lead Therapist on all comments, concerns and suggestions made by team members or resort guests.
• Explain and promote all spa and resort facilities, services and activities.
• Check the schedule the evening before a scheduled workday to confirm hours scheduled, maintain contact throughout scheduled workday with spa front desk team to communicate additions, deletions, and changes in schedule.
• Guide and escort guests to the appropriate area in the spa.
• Provide all spa treatments as outlined in The Edge Spa treatment protocol manual
• Keep work area clean and neat at all times. Follow sanitation procedures.
• Arrive on time for a scheduled shift. Return punctually from breaks and meal periods. Clock out promptly at the end of the scheduled shift.
• Assist other departments within the spa whenever necessary and available.
• On call for not less than four shifts per week including at least one weekend shift.(Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Attend The Edge Spa associate training and meetings as scheduled.
• Available to work holidays, weekends and evenings as needed.
• Maintain helpful, cooperative relations with co-workers.
• Adhere to The Lodge at Blue Sky associate handbook guidelines.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining standard of excellence in professional image and services.
• Use and knowledge of products within guidelines set in policy/procedure manual.
• Follow treatment procedures set in the policy/procedure manual.
• Proper use of all spa facilities and equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of menu of services and products.
• Keep guest and associate areas neat and clean.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Utah State Massage Therapy License
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Massage Therapist
• Ability to provide all spa treatments as outlined in the protocol manual.
• Ability to work in an environment infused with a variety of scents, such as aromatherapy

• Ability to learn, remember, provide and adhere to all body treatment and enhancement procedures as outlined in The Edge Spa Policy/Procedure manual.
