Job summary

Mercer Mass Timber LLC in Conway, Arkansas, is seeking a Manager of Maintenance to lead a skilled team and transition the plant from reactive to preventative maintenance. You will oversee CNC timber processing equipment, hydraulic presses, and automated lines, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency as production scales to multiple shifts over the next 18 months.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field.
• Proven maintenance management experience in manufacturing or industrial settings, preferably mass timber or wood products.
• Strong leadership to direct and develop a team of maintenance technicians and tradespeople.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all facility machinery and equipment.
• Oversee maintenance of CNC timber processing machines, hydraulic presses, adhesive units, automated lines, and auxiliary systems.
• Support expansion to multi-shift operations while coordinating schedules to minimize downtime.
• Utilize CMMS to track activities, analyze trends, and optimize efficiency and costs.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and ensure safety compliance.
