Job summary

Northland Concrete & Masonry is seeking an experienced Mason Foreman to lead commercial masonry crews on complex projects in the Minneapolis area. This role requires coordinating daily activities, ensuring safety, and aligning with project managers to meet schedules.

You will mentor masons and apprentices, read construction drawings, and monitor quality to maintain high craftsmanship. The position emphasizes teamwork, productivity, and proactive problem-solving in a union contractor environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial masonry experience with foreman/lead exposure preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, elevations and schedules.
• Strong safety focus and OSHA awareness; dependable field leadership.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and coordinate with trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise masonry crews on commercial projects.
• Provide daily direction to masons, laborers, and apprentices.
• Plan daily work, allocate manpower by priority and skill level.
• Coordinate with superintendents and project managers on schedule and needs.
• Maintain safety culture and ensure PPE usage and OSHA compliance.
• Read drawings, verify dimensions, elevations, joints, and details.
• Ensure work meets plans, specs, and NCM quality standards.
• Document progress, issues, and change opportunities; participate in meetings.
