Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Equipment Engineer to own and optimize advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at the Mask Technology Center.

You will drive reliability, uptime and cost reduction through data-driven methods and close collaboration with manufacturing, process engineering, and suppliers. The role covers maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, and development of automation and AI-assisted analytics to improve equipment performance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related technical field, with 2+ years semiconductor experience.
• Troubleshooting complex semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, chemical, optical, vacuum, RF, robotics, automation, software, and firmware systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate equipment installations and projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, modify and qualify manufacturing equipment.
• Improve uptime, reliability, capability and performance.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Define and improve maintenance procedures.
• Monitor equipment health and reduce cost of ownership.
• Drive vendor performance and CIP/QBR processes.
• Support manufacturing by addressing equipment issues.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with teams.
• Develop automation and data analytics for equipment performance.
