Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Shift Equipment Technician for the Mask Technology Center to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

You will collaborate with production teams, sustaining groups, engineers, and vendors to improve tool performance, ensure product quality, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or relevant military/technical background.
• Experience troubleshooting automated semiconductor clean room manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and mechanical systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, interpret, create, and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and equipment drawings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and improve clean room manufacturing equipment sets to maximize uptime and performance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal production impact.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, vacuum, software, and process-related issues using data-driven techniques.
• Collaborate with production, sustaining teams, engineers, and vendors to resolve tool issues and improve performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift pass-down communications.
• Promote safety, quality, defect reduction, and tool availability through continuous improvement.
• Support equipment installations, process improvements, and mentoring of team members.
