Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, seeks an Equipment Engineer at the Micron Mask Technology Center to own and improve advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring uptime, reliability, and performance.

You will apply data analytics, automation, and AI tools to optimize equipment effectiveness, while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to drive maintenance and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering w/2+ years semiconductor experience or an Associate Degree with 5+ years of relevant semiconductor manufacturing equipment experience.
• Troubleshooting experience with complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge across electrical, mechanical, chemical, optical, vacuum, RF, robotic, automation, software, and firmware systems.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned manufacturing equipment to maintain reliability and performance.
• Drive uptime improvements and cost reduction.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Define preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Monitor equipment health and identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce cost of ownership.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with technicians, engineers, vendors, and operations teams.
• Support tool evaluations, installations, relocations, and qualifications.
