Job summary

REV Entertainment seeks a Mascot Handler to support the New Mexico Goatheads mascot during home games, community appearances, and promotional events in Rio Rancho, NM. You will help move the mascot, manage crowds, and coordinate with game staff to keep performances on schedule.

The role requires strong communication, high energy, and comfort around large crowds, with duties including hydration, safety, costume care, and promoting activations at events. Nights and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in live events, promotions, entertainment, customer service, or mascot operations preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work confidently around large crowds and high-traffic areas.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with game presentation and event staff.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional demeanor throughout events.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as per event schedule.

Responsibilities

• Accompany and assist the mascot during home games, community appearances, events.
• Guide the mascot safely through crowds, concourses, seating areas, and backstage spaces.
• Protect the mascot performer from hazards.
• Serve as primary communicator for mascot when needed.
• Manage fan interactions and photo opportunities and crowd flow.
• Keep mascot appearances and game-day elements on schedule.
• Coordinate with Production Director and event staff on mascot activities.
• Assist with mascot costume setup, transport, storage, and care.
• Provide water, breaks, cooling, and other support as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of mascot performer identity.
• Help execute mascot promotions, skits, and sponsored activations.
• Represent REV Entertainment professionally to fans and partners.
• Other duties as assigned.
