Rev Entertainment’s New Mexico Goatheads seek a Merchandise Associate to support retail operations during home games and select events. You will assist customers, operate point-of-sale systems, help with product sales, and keep displays neat and stocked throughout events.

JOB TITLE: Merchandise Associate

JOB SUMMARY:

Merchandise Staff are responsible for assisting with retail operations during New Mexico Goatheads home games and select team events. This position will provide customer service, operate point-of-sale systems, assist with product sales, maintain merchandise displays, and help keep retail areas stocked and organized throughout each event. Merchandise Staff will work closely with the Merchandise Coordinator and other team members to create a positive and efficient shopping experience for Goatheads fans. This position requires strong customer service skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced event environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

• Assist with merchandise sales during New Mexico Goatheads home games and select team events.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to fans and guests.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
• Assist customers with product questions, sizing, availability, and purchasing decisions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional merchandise displays.
• Restock merchandise throughout events as inventory levels change.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of team store, merchandise stands, portable retail locations, and displays.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, counting, and storing merchandise inventory.
• Monitor merchandise areas and notify the Merchandise Coordinator of low inventory or operational issues.
• Follow established cash-handling, inventory, and point-of-sale procedures.
• Assist with end-of-night cleanup, inventory organization, and closing procedures.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of merchandise storage and retail areas.
• Represent the New Mexico Goatheads and REV Entertainment in a professional and positive manner when interacting with fans and guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous retail, customer service, hospitality, or event experience preferred.
• Experience operating point-of-sale systems or handling cash preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with fans, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Ability to work efficiently during high-volume periods.
• Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional attitude throughout events.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the New Mexico Goatheads event schedule.
• Interest in sports, entertainment, retail, or merchandise operations preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others; move about the facility; stand or remain in a stationary position for extended periods; traverse hard, uneven, or potentially slippery surfaces; operate computers and point-of-sale equipment; and position themselves as necessary to access merchandise, shelving, storage areas, or equipment.
• Must be able to transport, position, or move merchandise, boxes, displays, and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Position may require frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stocking, lifting, and carrying throughout a shift.
• This position may require work inside or outside of a building and in varying temperatures or weather conditions based on event needs.
• Must be able to work extended and non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
