Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Maryland-based Director of State and Local Government Relations to shape and implement Maryland policy engagement. Focus on Baltimore County and Annapolis, coordinating with federal and local teams to advance Anduril priorities.

You will build coalitions, monitor the policymaking process, and lead strategic engagement with officials and industry groups while traveling as needed and maintaining top-level clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years experience in the government relations field with direct Maryland experience.
• Lobby registration in Maryland, Baltimore County, and other states/local jurisdictions.
• Extensive knowledge of Maryland legislative/executive processes and stakeholders.
• Experience with state/local economic incentives and permitting/building processes.
• Ability to build coalitions and relationships with officials and associations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; proactive and results-driven.
• Willingness to travel ~30% or more; eligible for TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a strategic engagement plan for state/local priorities.
• Lead government relations strategies to advance company objectives at state/local level.
• Coordinate with executives, legal, and business lines to identify policy opportunities.
• Engage with state/local officials, trade groups, and stakeholders; oversee visits/events.
• Draft white papers, testimony, and briefs; monitor policymaking processes.
