Anduril Industries is seeking a Maryland-based Director of State and Local Government Relations to shape and implement the company’s state and local strategy. The role requires extensive Maryland legislative and executive process knowledge, and a proven ability to influence policy with state and local officials and industry groups.

The position focuses on Baltimore County and Annapolis, with expectations to travel as needed and collaborate with federal, state, and local teams to advance Anduril

Qualifications

• 12+ years in government relations with Maryland state/local experience
• Maryland lobby registration requirements
• Knowledge of Maryland state/local legislative and executive processes
• Understanding of state/local economic incentives and permitting/building processes
• Ability to build coalitions and relationships with officials and associations
• Willingness to travel ~30%+ and eligible for active U.S. Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute state and local government engagement plans
• Shape and implement GR strategy at state/local levels
• Lead strategic priorities at state/local levels
• Coordinate with executives, legal, corporate development, and other teams
• Engage with state/local industry groups to advance policy goals
• Draft and manage white papers, testimony, and related deliverables
• Monitor annual policymaking processes in relevant states
• Collaborate across teams to align messaging and outreach
