Job summary

Impact Kids is seeking a highly motivated black belt instructor to lead martial arts sessions for students aged 4 to 18 across multiple sites in California.

The role requires implementing the company curriculum, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment. Fingerprint background checks and certifications are required; teaching certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Black belt or equivalent in karate or a compatible martial art.
• Experience working with children aged 4–18.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and implement curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily martial arts instruction to students aged 4–18.
• Demonstrate techniques and explain underlying principles, assess progress, and give feedback.
• Group supervision addressing behavior, safety, health, and personal development.
• Ensure safety of students and staff; enforce training rules and safety habits.
• Organize and prepare daily lesson plans in a creative manner.
• Use effective classroom management to create an inclusive, fun environment.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and be a positive role model.
• Follow the Impact Kids Code of Conduct and company policies.
