Job summary

Aquent is seeking an experienced MarTech Mobile Messaging Delivery Manager to drive end-to-end delivery of SMS, push, and wallet messaging. The role acts as an operational lead, translating campaign needs into actionable backlogs and coordinating Agile delivery across a matrixed organization.

You will partner with Product Management and stakeholders to define requirements, write user stories, maintain a groomed backlog in Jira, and facilitate SAFe ceremonies to keep work flowing on schedule.

MarTech Mobile Messaging Delivery Manager

Remote: EST hours

This role seeks an Agile professional to drive the end-to-end delivery of our high-impact mobile engagement channels, including SMS, push notifications, and digital wallet messaging. This PM will bridge the gap between marketing demand and technical execution. Serving as an operational lead of their mobile messaging delivery team, the PM will manage request intake, translate campaign needs into actionable developer backlogs, and facilitate Agile delivery across a matrixed enterprise environment.

This role is more Project Management focused, and will support the team by prioritizing incoming requests. They will often complete the intake details for a project from the requestor, focusing on projects involving SMS / Push / Digital Wallet.

Role Summary/Purpose:

The MarTech Mobile Messaging Delivery Manager will support the delivery of mobile-based messaging capabilities that enable effective consumer communication across channels such as SMS, push notifications, and mobile wallet messaging.

Essential Responsibilities:

Backlog & Requirements

Partner with Product Management and key stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements for new mobile messaging capabilities and campaigns.

Author user stories and ensure they are appropriately sized, clear, and ready for delivery.

Develop acceptance criteria and support test planning/validation to ensure functionality meets intent and is release-ready.

Maintain a well-groomed backlog in Jira (and Jira Align where applicable), ensuring priorities, dependencies, and status are visible and accurate.

Support release planning and documentation to enable safe, compliant deployments.

Agile Delivery & Facilitation

Facilitate core Agile ceremonies (standups, refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retros) aligned to SAFe practices.

Drive day-to-day execution by tracking progress, removing blockers, and coordinating across technology and business partners.

Identify and communicate delivery risks, dependencies, and scope changes early; recommend mitigation options to Product and Tech leads.

Partner with other teams in the matrix (engineering, QA, platform teams, marketing operations, compliance/risk) to ensure delivery is completed on time and with quality.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Operational Readiness

Coordinate story-level delivery across teams and ensure readiness for production release (documentation, testing completion, approvals, release notes as needed).

Ensure adherence to applicable governance, risk, and compliance requirements throughout development and launch.

Support reporting and visibility into work in progress, completed work, and upcoming priorities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in an Agile delivery role such as Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or similar (including blended PO/SM responsibilities).
• Working knowledge of SAFe Agile concepts (PI planning, features/epics, dependencies, ceremonies).
• Experience delivering capabilities in the mobile messaging ecosystem, such as SMS, push notifications, in-app/mobile notifications, mobile wallet messaging, or multi-channel journey execution.
• Demonstrated experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria and partnering with engineering/QA through delivery.
• Experience using Agile tooling such as Jira (Jira Align a plus).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe POPM, SSM) or equivalent Agile certification (CSM/PSM/CSPO).
• Experience supporting MarTech platforms and campaign enablement (journey tools, messaging providers, consent/preferences).
• Familiarity with release governance in regulated environments (financial services experience a plus).
• Understanding of testing practices (UAT coordination, regression considerations, basic API/event knowledge).
