This player-coach role blends people leadership with system design and codebase hands-on work, guiding a fast-moving team toward measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing engineers (Manager) or 5+ years across multiple teams.
• Experience with marketplace, payments, pricing, or incentives.
• Data fluency: pull SQL and validate experiments.
• AI fluency to leverage AI tools in work.
• Strong written communication and documentation.
• Hands-on in a fast-moving codebase.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and level a pod of senior-leaning engineers.
• Own marketplace health: allocate, match, and distribute systems.
• Design incentives and pricing mechanisms that shape recruiter behavior.
• Build experimentation muscle: A/B testing and guardrail metrics.
• Translate ambiguous goals into a quarterly roadmap and deliver.
