Job summary

Best Buy seeks a Senior Engineering Manager – Data Store Platforms to lead two squads (Platform Services and Service Enablement) and drive scalable, secure data platform services for the enterprise. You’ll oversee technical strategy, people leadership, and reliability across data infrastructure, guiding teams toward self‑service capabilities and trusted adoption.

Qualifications

7 years of software or platform engineering experience.
2 years leading an engineering team.
5 years of experience building and operating AWS‑based data platforms.
3+ years of experience guiding technical design, architecture, or engineering standards.
2 years of leadership experience ensuring team outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of engineers delivering cloud‑based data platform services.
Deliver scalable, secure, self‑service data services for internal teams.
Guide design, architecture patterns, and standards for platform services.
Improve developer experience by reducing friction and onboarding effort.
Partner with operations to ensure reliability and scalability.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align platform capabilities with needs.
Coach and develop engineers through feedback and progression.
