Job summary

State Farm is hiring a Web Developer to build, maintain and improve digital experiences across pages, templates and components. You will work with design teams to translate approved files into high-quality web experiences, and collaborate with senior technical partners on platform decisions.

You will implement and optimize pages in CMS platforms (AEM, WordPress, Sitecore or Drupal), ensure accessibility and SEO readiness, and support analytics tagging and measurement with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, information technology, digital media or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional web development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining web pages using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience in a CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, Sitecore, Drupal or a similar platform.
• Ability to work independently on assigned development tasks with limited direction.
• Understanding of responsive web development, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility and web performance best practices.
• Experience with analytics tagging or measurement implementation.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and maintain web pages, content modules and site enhancements that support digital marketing, technical SEO, accessibility and site performance goals.
• Implement page builds and template updates in Adobe Experience Manager or similar CMS, following design and requirements.
• Independently complete development tasks, troubleshoot issues and verify updates meet quality criteria.
• Support technical SEO implementation including metadata, redirects, canonical tags, internal linking and structured data.
• Improve page quality through fixes related to site speed, accessibility, responsiveness and UX.
• Support analytics tagging and validation with analytics and SEO teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues, document fixes and support QA processes.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to reusable components and standards.
• Collaborate with SEO, content strategy, copywriting and UX/design teams to ensure accurate implementation across pages and templates.
