Job summary

Mammoth Mountain is seeking a Sponsorship Coordinator to manage activation execution and administrative duties for resort sponsors at Mammoth and June Mountain.

You will plan, execute, and report on sponsor deliverables, while supporting hospitality requirements and social content related to activations. A detail-oriented, proactive candidate with a passion for the mountain lifestyle is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in events management, marketing or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 1-year experience in sponsorship coordination or activations.
  • Experience planning and promoting small-to-mid scale events or animation programming.
  • Understanding of events planning/operations and current trends in events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Outdoor enthusiast with a passion for mountain lifestyle.

Responsibilities

  • Balance activation execution and administrative duties to fulfill partnership agreements at Mammoth and June Mountain.
  • Execute marketing deliverables for sponsor activations and assist with reporting/documenting activations.
  • Support resort partner hospitality requirements and asset/deliverables tracking.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on sponsor activities and outcomes.
  • Assist social team with content capture related to activations and partnerships.

A little about this position:

The Sponsorship Coordinator balances activation execution and various administrative duties to fulfill partnership agreements at Mammoth and June Mountain. This role is responsible for the execution of marketing deliverables for our resort sponsors, assisting with reporting/documenting of activations and assisting with resort partner hospitality requirements. The candidate must be a problem-solver, with a high level of organizational skills and ability to take initiative. The position will report directly to the Events, Sponsorship and Athlete Director in the Marketing Department. This position assists in the planning, logistics, and day-of execution of activations ranging from tastings and demos to full-scale event sponsorships. This position also handles essential administrative responsibilities such as overseeing assets, fulfillment, deliverables tracking, documenting activations, prepare reports and presentations on sponsor activities, and various projects needed within the Sponsorship and Events team. The role will also support the social team with content capture as it related to activations and partnership inclusion requirements. By maintaining operational excellence, aligning with resort and Alterra strategies, and driving measurable outcomes, this position directly supports both short- and long-term revenue growth while strengthening the resort's brand relationships. The best candidate must work well under pressure and tight deadlines as well as be available to work weekends, holidays, outside and longer shifts to ensure the success of a partnership obligation, a sponsor activation or resort event.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in events management, marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum 1-year experience in sponsorship coordination or activations
  • Proven experience planning, and promoting small-to-mid scale events or animation programming required
  • Understanding of events planning/operations; a pulse on current trends as well as an ability to keep events relevant and fresh required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, high proficiency in Excel required
  • Passionate outdoor enthusiast with a love for the mountain lifestyle

Knowledge of ski area operations and the resort industry. Intermediate to advanced skiing or snowboarding abilities and comprehensive knowledge of Mammoth's Mountain's terrain is preferred.

Excellent communication in written, verbal and creative formats

Hourly pay rate:

$22.77-$24.58
