Job Summary

The Marketing Senior Data Analyst serves as the foundational data integrity lead and technical subject matter expert for the marketing analytics team. This role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end data quality, structural join integrity, and pipeline reliability across multi-cloud marketing architectures. Beyond leading complex querying, audience engineering, and diagnostic analysis, this senior individual contributor role establishes validation frameworks, audits data sourcing protocols, and mentors team analysts to ensure all analytical outputs and activation models sit on pristine, actionable data.

Responsibilities
  • Own the foundational data validation framework across the analytics team; perform pre-flight Quality Assurance (QA), data reconciliation, and automated integrity checks to guarantee data cleanliness from source ingestion to final marketing activation.
  • Establish standard operating procedures for query design, dataset transformations, and complex multi-table joins; audit team analytical logic to prevent data duplication, orphan records, schema mismatches, or pipeline drift.
  • Lead the identification, sourcing, extraction, and staging of internal core banking data, Customer Data Platform (CDP) profiles, and third-party vendor datasets into production-ready BigQuery analytical views.
  • Oversee technical data flow and alignment between Google BigQuery, Salesforce Data Cloud/Data360, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), and activation channels in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
  • Apply expert querying and diagnostic methods to model customer behavior, measure campaign incrementality (CAC, LTV, ROI), and build high-impact executive dashboards in BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Serve as technical SME and mentor for team analysts; conduct peer code reviews (SQL/Python), guide join optimization, and enforce standards established in the division’s Marketing Data Playbook.
  • Partner with Enterprise Data Engineering, Data Governance, Corporate IT, and Compliance to maintain data definitions, privacy rules, fair-lending standards, and regulatory controls.
  • Understand and comply with bank policies, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
  • Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
Experience
  • Required: 6 years of progressive experience in data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or marketing technology environments.
  • Required: 4 years of expert-level hands-on SQL experience, demonstrating mastery in complex joins, ETL/ELT pipelines, query optimization, view creation, and structural data validation.
  • Required: Proven track record in data quality management, metadata validation, reconciliation frameworks, and establishing data integrity standards across multi-source datasets.
  • Required: Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Google BigQuery), Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), or CRM/Marketing activation ecosystems (Salesforce Data Cloud, SFMC, FSC).
  • Preferred: Financial services or banking analytics background with familiarity regarding deposit/loan dynamics, customer lifecycle analytics, and bank compliance frameworks.
  • Preferred: Experience using Python or R for data validation, automation, or statistical modeling, alongside BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
Education
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Master's Degree
