Job summary

Safeway Insurance is seeking a motivated Marketing Representative to develop and maintain agency relationships across Mississippi. You will promote our insurance products, drive profitable growth, and travel extensively within the state to visit independent agents and brokers.

The role requires a business or marketing background, 5+ years in insurance marketing or related fields, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage partnerships from onboarding to ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Insurance or related field.
• 5+ years of insurance marketing, sales, underwriting, or agency management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
• Company car provided.

• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
• Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence to management.
• Achieve territory production, retention, and profitability goals.
• Extensive travel throughout the state to include some overnight travel.
