Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Seattle-based AEC client to recruit a Marketing and Proposal Manager. You will lead a small team, guiding BD and proposal direction while contributing to strategic market analytics and brand initiatives across Washington.

The role is permanent and primarily onsite in the East Side of Seattle, with a salary range of $95,000 to $125,000 plus full benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in AEC marketing and proposal work.
• Experience leading teams or projects is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in the RFP/RFQ and pursuits process; InDesign proficiency required.

Job description

We are working with our Seattle, WA AEC client to recruit a Marketing and Proposal Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team of tactical marketing and proposal experts as they drive growth and the brand’s footprint across Washington. As the leader of the department, you will spend most of your time guiding proposal and BD direction for the team instead of living in daily proposal execution, though the ability to jump in during busy periods is a must. You will work closely with leadership for the region, identifying opportunities that align with the team’s expertise and drive new business opportunity through winning proposals, curated resumes and cohesive brand image. You will conduct research, work with senior leadership on strategy, and guide the team in tactical execution. While proposals make up the bulk of this function, you will also curate integrated marketing experiences, brand moments and campaigns that contribute to overall brand awareness and experience. To be a fit, you should bring 7+ years of experience in AEC marketing and proposal work. Experience leading teams of direct reports or for projects is strongly preferred. Expertise in the RFP/RFQ and pursuits process is a must, with InDesign experience required.

This is a permanent, salaried role that will be primarily onsite on the East Side of Seattle, WA. Salary for this role ranges heavily based on what you bring to the table, anywhere from $95,000 to $125,000 annually, with potential flexibility for a stellar, senior-level leader. In this role, you will:

• Guide a team of marketing and proposal specialists in producing high-quality, winning proposals
• Oversee proposal processes and strategy with senior leadership, SMEs and cross-functional teams, conducting final reviews, spot checks and jumping in as needed to ensure compliance and alignment
• Serve as a critical market expert and strategist to regional leadership, advising on competitor and market analysis, areas of opportunity and more
• Lead kick-off meetings and support, guidance and prep to technical staff; Support creative team members and guide designers, other proposal partners and editors in creating a cohesive final product
• Drive integrated marketing outside of the proposal process, guiding strategy and tactical work that curates a regional brand experience through digital marketing, social media, brand creative, events, sponsorships and more

To be a fit, you should bring:

• 7+ years of AEC marketing and proposal experience with the ability to serve as a strategic proposal expert in this space and guide teams in execution
• Experience leading projects, required; Experience leading teams of direct reports, highly preferred
• Track record of cross-functional partnership with company and regional leadership, and the ability to guide SMEs, partners and company leaders in collaborative presentation and proposal development processes
• Adobe InDesign proficiency, required; Additional CRM or Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, highly preferred
