Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Marketing Proposal Specialist I to join our West Water Marketing Team and collaborate with the West Region on pursuits, including EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and pre-qualification efforts.

This hybrid role can be based in offices across the West, including Denver, CO, and other California sites. You will assist with proposal planning, schedules, templates, and compliance, contributing to win themes and content development.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of A/E industry.
• Experience with CRM Salesforce.
• Proficient with InDesign and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with collaborative tools such as Teams, SharePoint.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with small to medium proposal/LOIs/SOQs; support capture teams with pre-RFP planning.
• Create proposal schedules and templates; perform production tasks and ensure compliance.
• Develop compliance matrices and content development timelines.
• Contribute to resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
• Participate in color reviews and coordinate proposal review meetings.
• Manage revisions based on review direction and ensure client requirements are met.
• Support Go/No Go and greenlight analyses and maintain CRM content.
• Participate in internal debriefs as part of pursuit team.

Job Description

ACOEM is seeking a Marketing Proposal Specialist I to join our West Water Marketing Team and work in collaboration with the West Region business development and operations team on pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts.

This will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and in-office work schedules, that can be based in, but not limited to: Los Angeles, CA; Orange, CA; San Francisco, CA; Oakland, CA; Sacramento, CA; and Denver, CO offices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with small to medium proposal/LOIs/SOQs. May support capture teams with pre-RFP proposal planning and help develop and apply the win plan, themes, and discriminators in marketing deliverables.
• Create proposal schedules and templates, perform production tasks, and demonstrate a clear understanding of compliance.
• Develop compliance matrices and creates reasonable, agreed-upon schedules for content development, production, and delivery.
• Contributes to and supports the writing and/or editing and/or formatting of resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
• Participates in color reviews (Pink and Red team) to build institutional knowledge and may coordinate proposal review meetings and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.
• Supports Go/No Go and greenlight analysis conversations and maintain CRM data system content as needed.
• Participates in internal debriefs as part of pursuit team, as requested.
• Understands and follows company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory) under supervision of others.
• Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry
• A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
• A working knowledge of InDesign as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
• An understanding of CRM Salesforce experience.
• Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.
• Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.
