Job description

The Manager, Social Media, is a creative and strategic copywriter that will craft compelling, on-brand copy for various social media platforms to engage audiences, drive conversions, and grow our digital presence. You will collaborate closely with marketing, design, and content teams to bring campaigns to life across Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and more. This role involves creating engaging content, managing campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, and helping build a strong online community aligned with our brand voice and business goals. This role needs a resourceful self-starter who has experience working on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. You will work with both our internal creative group (CREATE) and external agency resources.

  • Write engaging, concise, and platform-specific copy for social media posts, ads, stories, and captions
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, in-house design team (CREATE), social media agency partners, cross-functional marketing agencies, and cross-functional Denny’s teams to support campaigns and ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all channels
  • Monitor trends and social media best practices to optimize copy for engagement and reach
  • Edit and proofread copy for clarity, grammar, and brand consistency
  • Support community engagement efforts with smart, real-time responses and copy variations
  • Analyze content performance and adjust copy based on audience insights and analytics
  • Manage, in conjunction with social media agency, daily social media activities, including content creation, scheduling, publishing, and monitoring.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and manage online community interactions.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, influencer collaborations, or user-generated content.
  • Manage boosting campaigns when needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education:

BA in Advertising, Communications or related field

Experience:

5 to 7 years’ experience in an agency environment, with specific experience around social media management and copywriting.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of key social media platforms and tools.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is a plus.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum:$84,000.00 - Maximum:$115,500.00
