Confidential Employer in Austin, TX is seeking a marketing leader to own the marketing engine across video, social, web, events, trade shows, and brand. You will build the function from the ground up at a fast-growing defense tech company.

You will produce short-form demos, explainers, long-form video, and content for LinkedIn, X, and industry channels. Equity is offered in addition to base compensation, with on-site work and travel to events as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B marketing in defense, aerospace, robotics, hardware, or deep tech.
• Hands-on video production/editing experience.
• Portfolio or work samples showing shipped campaigns or creative assets.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Austin, travel as needed.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person for export-controlled technology.
• Strong familiarity with AI tools for research, drafting, editing, and production.
• Experience messaging across web, landing pages, events, and campaigns.
• CRM or marketing ops experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the company's marketing engine across video, social media, print, web, events, trade shows, and brand design.
• Produce compelling short-form product demos, explainers, long-form video, and other visual content.
• Create and manage engaging content for LinkedIn, X, and other industry channels.
• Translate technical product language into clear, customer-facing messaging.
• Collaborate with founders, engineers, and leaders to identify key stories.
• Personally create a significant share of early marketing content and manage external partners.
• Brief, manage, and hold agencies and freelancers accountable for quality and budget.
• Own trade-show booths and event presence from concept to execution on-site.
• Source content with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Use AI tools heavily for research, drafting, editing, iteration, and production.
• Manage calendars, assets, deadlines, landing pages, and campaigns.
• Establish the creative standard, marketing processes, and vendor ecosystem for future team growth.
