Job summary

Campus is seeking experienced Marketing Instructors to deliver high-impact online courses across multiple programs. You will teach in a live, synchronous online environment, creating meaningful learning experiences for a diverse student body.

You’ll lead engaging sessions, provide timely feedback, and collaborate with Teaching Assistants to manage grading and student engagement while leveraging AI-powered tools and Campus resources.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or Master’s with substantial industry experience); PhD welcomed.
  • Minimum five years of experience in marketing strategy, leadership, or marketing operations.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience at undergraduate level.
  • Experience teaching online, synchronous, or hybrid formats preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.
  • Proficient with LMS and video conferencing; comfortable with AI-powered teaching tools.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 11-week live, synchronous, online courses with student-centered strategies.
  • Foster inclusive, engaging learning environments and active student participation.
  • Provide timely feedback and respond to inquiries within 1–2 business days.
  • Host weekly office hours and mentor Teaching Assistants on grading and engagement.
  • Evaluate student progress, maintain grades, and submit mid-quarter and end-of-quarter evaluations.
  • Participate in optional professional development and peer-sharing sessions.
  • Engage in co-curricular events to share expertise with Campus community.
  • Leverage Campus resources and embedded AI tools to enhance teaching.

About the Role

Campus is seeking experienced, mission-driven, student-centered Marketing Instructors to deliver high-impact, online courses as part of our many programs. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about student success, thrive in virtual environments, and are excited to work at the intersection of academic excellence and educational innovation.

You’ll join a growing network of faculty dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for students from all backgrounds, particularly those historically underserved by higher education.

Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Teach 11-week live, synchronous, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within one to two business days.
  • Host weekly office hours.
  • Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TAs on effective grading and student engagement practices.
  • Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations.
  • Participate in optional professional development opportunities and peer-sharing sessions organized by Campus.
  • Have the opportunity to participate in co-curricular events (e.g., guest speaking or networking events) to share your unique expertise with the broader Campus community.
  • Leverage Campus-provided training and resources to effectively utilize embedded AI tools and modern pedagogical practices in your online classroom.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or a Master’s degree in any field combined with substantial industry experience in digital media, content creation, or marketing); PhD or equivalent welcome.
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in marketing strategy, functional marketing leadership, technical marketing operations, or a related function. PR/Comms professionals are not a good fit for this position at this time.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate college/university level.
  • Preferred: Experience teaching in online, synchronous (live), or hybrid environments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing.
  • Comfort adapting to new educational technologies and a willingness to integrate AI-powered tools into your teaching.
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education.
  • Passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.

Subject Matter Requirements (Foundations of Marketing)

Ideal for: Teaching Principles of Marketing

  • A strong understanding of core marketing frameworks with an emphasis on segmentation, targeting and positioning, consumer psychology, market research, and traditional brand management, and the relationship between strategic and tactical decisions (e.g., pricing, channels, promotional planning, etc.)

Subject Matter Requirements (Applied Digital & Content Creation)

Ideal for: Teaching Digital Marketing & Content Marketing

  • Active practitioners with hands‑on experience in modern Martech stack management, with special emphasis on website design and optimization, CRO, SEM/SEM, analytics, and AI‑driven marketing workflows supporting campaign planning, launch, and measurement.
  • This is a technical marketing curriculum so experience with GA4, Core Web Vitals, on‑page/off‑page/technical SEO, evaluation of backlink toxicity, etc. is required.
  • Agency experience is welcome IF you have robust subject matter experience in one or more disciplines that lead to delivery, beyond any AE or customer success experience.

Subject Matter Requirements (Social)

Ideal for: Influencer and Social Media Marketing

  • Active practitioners with hands‑on experience in personal brand building, audience acquisition and engagement, KPIs unique to the influencer space, navigating sponsor agreements and relationships, and related functions.
  • Students will ask for specific feedback on content, targeting, negotiation, etc. and the instructor must be conversant enough in the influencer space that they can adapt best practices to a student’s unique needs.

Compensation

  • $8,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter
  • $5,000 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter
