Job summary

Campus seeks experienced Economics Instructors to deliver 11-week online courses. You’ll teach introductory micro and macro principles, foster inclusive online learning, and provide timely feedback. Collaboration with Teaching Assistants and participation in professional development are expected.

Responsibilities include grading, office hours, and engaging students from diverse backgrounds using Campus-provided AI tools and modern pedagogy. Remote-friendly, 8–10 hours/week per course.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Economics or related field; PhD welcomed.
  • At least 2 years teaching undergraduates; online teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience with online synchronous or hybrid environments is a plus.

  • Teach 11-week live online courses using student-centered methods.
  • Provide timely feedback and respond to inquiries within 1–2 business days.
  • Host weekly office hours and mentor teaching assistants in grading and engagement.

About the Role

Campus is seeking experienced, mission-driven, student-centered Economics Instructors to deliver high-impact, online courses as part of our many programs. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about student success, thrive in virtual environments, and are excited to work at the intersection of academic excellence and educational innovation.

You’ll join a growing network of faculty dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for students from all backgrounds, particularly those historically underserved by higher education.

What You’ll Teach
  • Principles of Microeconomics
  • Principles of Macroeconomics
Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Teach 11-week live, synchronous , online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within one to two business days.
  • Host weekly office hours.
  • Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TAs on effective grading and student engagement practices.
  • Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations.
  • Participate in optional professional development opportunities and peer-sharing sessions organized by Campus.
  • Have the opportunity to participate in co-curricular events (e.g., guest speaking or networking events) to share your unique expertise with the broader Campus community.
  • Leverage Campus-provided training and resources to effectively utilize embedded AI tools and modern pedagogical practices in your online classroom.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business or a related field (or a Master's degree in any field combined with substantial experience teaching introductory economics) ; PhD or equivalent advanced degree welcome.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate college/university level.
  • Preferred: Experience teaching in online, synchronous (live), or hybrid environments.
  • Demonstrated success teaching introductory college-level economics (Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics), with a focus on translating complex economic theories into real-world applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing.
  • Comfort adapting to new educational technologies and a willingness to integrate AI-powered tools into your teaching.
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education.
  • Passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.
Compensation
  • $8,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter
  • $5,000 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter
