A mission driven nonprofit is looking for a tech savvy Development Specialist to strengthen donor engagement and fundraising operations. This role blends sharp written communication with strong command of fundraising systems, data, and automation. You'll build the dashboards, workflows, and AI powered processes that keep donors thanked, informed, and engaged, collaborating daily with a U.S. team. Most of your communication will be written and digital, with only light call work.

What you'll do
- Donor CRM Management: Maintain accurate donor records, gift histories, contact details, interests, and engagement notes in the donor database, and set consistent data entry and reporting practices.
- Power BI Dashboards & Reporting: Build dashboards and reports in Power BI that track fundraising results, campaign performance, donor retention, lapsed donors, and stewardship activity, then turn the data into clear insights and recommended actions.
- Automated Donor Workflows: Segment donors and build automated, AI assisted workflows for thank you letters, welcome messages, follow ups, renewals, and reengagement so outreach never depends on manual reminders.
- Content & Digital Communications: Plan and write acknowledgment letters, appeals, donor updates, and email campaigns that show the impact of every gift, using AI prompting to draft and adapt content while keeping a consistent voice and checking all facts and final copy.
- Troubleshooting & Process Improvement: Troubleshoot system and workflow issues, spot repetitive tasks that can be automated, document processes, and coordinate across tools to keep fundraising operations fast and consistent.
What you'll bring
- Hands on experience administering a donor CRM, including data cleanup, segmentation, and custom reports. DonorPerfect experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong Power BI skills for building dashboards and reports (a must).
- Experience building automated email or task workflows for stewardship, retention, and lapsed donor outreach.
- Practical AI prompting skills for content drafting, voice consistency, and workflow automation, paired with sound editorial judgment.
- Strong fundraising and marketing writing skills, with the ability to manage a content calendar and tailor messages across letters, email, and digital channels.
- Ability to interpret fundraising data, spot gaps or opportunities, and turn findings into specific next steps.
- Excellent written English and comfort working mainly through email, chat, and other digital channels, with occasional calls.
- Detail oriented project management and the ability to document processes and train colleagues on consistent system use.
- A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
Bonus points if you have
- Worked in nonprofit development or fundraising support.
- Used automation tools like Zapier, Make, or Power Automate.
