Job description

We are partnering with a growing technology company operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, information systems, and enterprise technology to identify an experienced Director of Marketing.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for helping shape how the organization presents itself to the market. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director will help develop and execute external marketing and communications strategies across digital, social, print, content, and other key channels.

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with a willingness to execute. We are looking for someone who can take complex technology and business concepts and turn them into clear, engaging messaging that strengthens the company's brand, supports growth, and connects with customers and the broader market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Vice President of Marketing to develop and execute the company's overall marketing and external communications strategy.
  • Own and strengthen external messaging and brand consistency across multiple channels.
  • Develop and manage social media strategy, with a particular emphasis on professional and B2B audiences.
  • Lead the creation and distribution of marketing content across digital, social, web, email, print, presentations, and other channels.
  • Help translate complex AI, technology, and information systems concepts into compelling, accessible messaging for customers and prospects.
  • Develop thought-leadership content and support executive communications that strengthen the company's position in the marketplace.
  • Manage marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness, audience engagement, and business development opportunities.
  • Partner closely with sales, product, leadership, and other internal stakeholders to ensure consistent positioning and messaging.
  • Support website content, digital marketing, SEO, email marketing, events, webinars, collateral, and other marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Manage relationships with outside agencies, designers, writers, vendors, and other marketing partners when appropriate.
  • Establish and monitor key marketing metrics and use performance data to continually improve campaigns, content, and channel strategy.
  • Stay current on developments in AI, emerging technologies, digital marketing, and new tools that can improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Approximately 5–10 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within technology, SaaS, software, AI, information systems, or another B2B technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing and communications programs.
  • Strong background in content development, brand messaging, social media, digital marketing, and external communications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Experience working collaboratively with sales, product, executive leadership, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically—a leader who is equally willing to develop the plan and roll up their sleeves to execute it.
  • Familiarity with modern marketing technology, analytics platforms, CRM/marketing automation tools, and AI-enabled marketing tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related discipline preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience marketing enterprise technology, SaaS, AI, data, or information systems solutions.
  • Experience supporting a growing or rapidly evolving technology organization.
  • Strong understanding of B2B audiences and complex or consultative sales environments.
  • Experience developing executive thought leadership, case studies, white papers, presentations, and other high-value content.
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics to evaluate marketing effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a creative, intellectually curious marketer who understands technology but, just as importantly, understands how to tell its story.

This individual should be comfortable working in a growing organization where priorities can move quickly and where good ideas are expected to turn into action. The right candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company's brand, market presence, and growth while working closely with senior marketing leadership.
