Job description

Marketing Manager - Developer Infrastructure & AI

Remote anywhere in the US must be US Citizen or GC Holder

Our client is a fast-growing technology company operating at the intersection of developer infrastructure, cloud platforms, and AI. Their products are built for highly technical users and are increasingly supporting the next generation of AI-native applications, agents, and autonomous workloads.

They're looking for a Marketing Manager to lead content and brand while helping shape how the company shows up within the developer and AI communities.

The Role

This is a true player-coach opportunity for someone who loves both leading and creating.

You'll help guide a talented team across content, developer education, community, and creative while remaining personally involved in the work - writing, editing, developing narratives, and shaping the voice of the brand. You'll work closely with company leadership and partner across growth, product, engineering, and developer-facing teams. This is not a traditional demand-gen marketing role. The focus is on building a brand and content engine that earns credibility with developers and technical audiences.

What You'll Own
  • Lead content strategy and execution across newsletters, social media, product storytelling, technical education, and thought leadership
  • Guide and develop a small, experienced team spanning content, developer education/community, and creative
  • Stay hands-on with writing and editing - this role needs someone who can create, not simply manage
  • Build messaging that resonates with developers, engineers, technical founders, and AI builders
  • Develop deep fluency across the evolving AI agent and developer infrastructure ecosystem
  • Shape the company's brand voice and help establish a distinctive point of view in a rapidly changing market
  • Expand visibility through content, community, partnerships, events, and developer engagement
  • Partner with growth and product teams to turn technical capabilities into compelling stories and market narratives
What We’re Looking For
  • Exceptional writing ability - writing is at the center of this role (we want to see samples!)
  • Strong understanding of AI, AI agents, LLM applications, or the broader agentic ecosystem
  • Experience marketing developer tools, infrastructure, cloud platforms, APIs, open-source technology, or highly technical B2B products
  • Someone who can communicate credibly with developers without sounding like traditional enterprise marketing
  • Comfortable moving between strategy, leadership, and hands-on execution
  • Experience leading a small content/creative team, or a strong senior IC ready to step into leadership
  • Strong instincts around brand, storytelling, community, and technical audiences
  • Familiarity with modern developer and AI ecosystems
  • A visible personal voice, technical writing portfolio, or industry presence is a strong plus
  • Bonus: experience with developer-led growth, product-led growth, funnels, growth loops, or scalable acquisition channels
The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to own the voice of a company operating in one of the fastest-moving areas of technology.

You'll help translate sophisticated infrastructure and AI products into stories developers actually want to read, build a recognizable brand within the technical community, and help define how the company positions itself as AI agents reshape the way software is built and operated.
