Job summary

Appian in McLean, VA seeks a Marketing Data Manager to own the health, governance, and quality of the global marketing database, enabling precise targeting and faster pipeline velocity across regions.

You will define success, measure it, and drive improvements with GDPR compliance, Marketo and Salesforce hygiene, and scalable data processes, partnering with Marketing Operations, Demand Gen, and Sales Ops. This role includes building real-time dashboards and driving data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in marketing operations, data mgmt or data governance.
• Marketo experience & Salesforce CRM proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Establish data quality standards across the marketing database with measurable health scores.
• Architect data hygiene programs in Marketo and Salesforce with deduplication & enrichment.
• Collaborate across teams to design lead routing, scoring, and segmentation strategies.
• Build executive dashboards in Tableau to monitor health, segmentation, and campaign metrics.
• Lead data governance initiatives to standardize capture and taxonomy.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work while improving data integrity.
